Artemis Fowl and the Atlantis Complex 0-55

I am reading Artemis Fowl and the Atlantis Complex, this book is about a child genius named Artemis Fowl who descends from a long line of master criminals and thieves. Artemis when he was 13 discovered the people (L.E.P.). The fairies at first hate Artemis but the soon become friends. In this book Artemis begins to develop the Atlantis Complex and code with the number 5. Artemis has a plan to save the world but when he starts to hallucinate Holly must blast him out of the way of a shuttle, and saves his life.

I really like these books because I am the right age where now fairies don’t exist period. Artemis makes me keep reading because there is always some humor and some rude remarks from him.


Artemis Fowl and the Atlantis Complex 55-102

I am still reading Artemis Fowl and the Atlantis Complex. Butler, Artemis’s butler, is off to Mexico trying to save his little sister, Juliet, who is currently in a boxing ring. Yet when a fairy mesmorizes the crowd and tells them to kill Butler and Juliet things get out of hand. Back in the Arctic Holly and Foaly are trying to figure out how to kill the robots built to go to Mars. Artemis is in the second stage of the Atlantis Complex, he has 2 personalities, except the new one is a stupid self affectionate Artemis. They finally get the shuttle they crashed in to the land to work and then they fly to Atlantis to warn them about a shuttle going towards Atlantis with no passengers.

I really liked this book because it was a nice surprise that is was out and I had been waiting for it! The plot line makes sense to me because I could really see Artemis going crazy.

Alex Rider Snakehead 1-76

Alex Rider has just fallen out of space and has landed in Australian territory. Without a VISA he can’t leave and the ASA isn’t done with him yet. They need help breaching Snakehead, the biggest black market organization in the world. They tempt Alex by telling him he will be working with his Godfather, Ash. He was one of the last people to see Alex’s parents alive. Alex ignores Jack’s opinion (his caretaker and legal guardian) and agrees to help.

I like this series a lot because I wish I were a spy. It would also be really cool to be in 5 different places around the world in a year.

Alex did not have a good life as a child. His father had been a drunk and he had been beaten many times. His mother had a smoking problem and had died when Alex was 11. Since then his dad had been in 18 different relationships all of which were while he was drunk. It was after one bad beating when Alex had decided to go away. His father had been playing poker with some of  his "friends" when Alex had asked if he could go to the movies. His Dad had turned around and with his beer bottle which was broken slapped Alex across the face. The sober men in the room had rushed Alex to the hospital and he had received 24 stitches including a couple of fake teeth.

Alex ran away the next day with all the money he could steal from his dad. He had lived on the streets, performing for money and eventually began to take mixed martial arts for safety. He was broke one day when a man walked up to him asking if he needed help. Alex had round-housed kicked him and the man responded by blocking the next one but still managed to get beaten. The man had pulled out his C.I.A. badge after that and asked if Alex had a home and if he wanted to come to the C.I.A. Alex politely accepted and they put him through some camps making him stronger and better at everything.  They were planning on sending him on a mission but some trouble came up. Alex had no actual schooling.

  Alex attended a school for about 6 weeks, in that time they figured out all they needed to know. Alex was smart in math and history. He excelled in those 2 but the others L.A. and Science were not that good. Alex had enough time to develop a social life and get a girlfriend, her name was Camryn. Alex only ever went to the camp if he could talk to Camryn some how and if not he refused. There was only one problem with Alex mentally really, and that was killing. Alex did not have the guts to kill or at least the shrink for the C.I.A. didn’t think so. He got freaked out when his mom died and he felt the pain and no matter what he would do almost anything to avoid it. There was only one situation, which he would do it, to save his life and then he made it quick and painless.

Alex was on a plane to Russia worried about his first mission. He was worried that he would never be able to see Camryn again. All he had to do was get into a compound disguised as a corrupt politician and find out what was going on. In that time he was going to have to avoid General Swayrts because it was known for him to randomly kill people if they looked suspicious. That was all Alex had to do but Alex didn’t have a good feeling about it.

Alex was dropped about 5 miles away from the compound and with enough money to rent a very nice car. Alex of course was old enough to have a drivers license but he hired a chauffeur to make it look like he was more legit. Alex had been given some steroids, only a little to make it look like he was tougher. As he stepped out of his Aston Martin the guard asked for an I.D., Alex pulled out a fake one and the guards nodded and let him in. Alex could have knocked them out but that wasn’t the objective. Alex knew he had dinner at 18:00 with some minor people but he knew that was where he would have to start.

At dinner he discovered that not all of the people were corrupted just mainly the ones with power or that’s how they acted. Around 3:00 Alex snuck out of his room and into the computer room were he had been forbid. He entered silently and peeked around the corner of the wall. There were men inside, and on the screen was the picture of the current Russian "president" Dmitry Medvedev and a second screen had a chat room going and Alex looked closely and saw the 2 names chatting. "RSSIAN MN" and "DMTRI H8TER" this made Alex assume that they were planning to hurt the president. Alex rushed out and forgot to close the door quietly and the men turned around and quickly looked at the security cameras. It confirmed he was a spy.

   I forgot to stop reading my book so I could respond so I'm going to respond about
what I think the meaning of this golden small golf trophy my great uncle gave me before
he died. Its really heavy and it took me a second to figure out what it was when I got it
first, closely inspected I found that it was a golf club bag and a mini clock next to it.
I know my Great Uncle Dick loves golf and that maybe this was a miniature trophy. This stumped
me because I can't tell if its real gold or not, it's so heavy for something that can fit into
my hand.
   My uncle's desk watch catches my eyes when I look at it in the dark, the gold glimmers
kind of like stars in the sky. I think it represents that even though he had cancer he kept
doing what he loved, golfing and watching collage football. He would want me to keep trying
my best and try as hard as I can at everything I do.

Jason, Piper and Leo are flying on Festus when they hit something in mid air and spirald down into
the king that has the golden touch's lawn. They are forced to fight him because he wishes to have
them as golden statues. Jason defeats him and they run. After they leave they go and heal Piper
she gets pneumonia. During there way to their destiny they meet up with Thaila, Jason's sister, a
hunter

  I Really liked this book, I read all the Percy Jackson series and this sounds like another good one,
I wish I could be more like Leo, good at building things. Every once in a while ill build a catupult
but nothing like leo can build, he manages to hotwire a crane to destroy 3 Cyclops's

The Lost Hero 1-40

Leo and Piper have been friends for almost a year and their friend Jason
was there the whole time, only through the mist. They were on a field trip for a wilderness school
and they had a mean gym teacher. While on the bridge at the Grand Canyon
when storm spirits in the form of a boy attack, their teacher becomes a satyr and they
all get freaked out. Jason pulled out a gold coin, flipped it into the air and it transformed into a fancy golden
sword which he used to slice through the 2 minor spirits. The major spirit took the satyr
and flew it into the clouds. It was then when Anabeth showed up and took Leo,Jason, and Piper to camp
Half-Blood where Leo gets claimed as a Blacksmith gods son.
